Jane Doe

Last night we picked up my new ride.

That fact that we traded in the Nitro shouldn't surprise anyone who's been reading this blog for any length of time. The main reason I purchased it was because it was a standard, but after 9 months of driving it my carpal tunnel's been getting increasingly worse. Could it be from shifting? That combined with the fact that Hot Husband didn't know how to drive it was what prompted us to start looking around.

I promise I didn't head straight to the Dodge dealership this time. I actually took a Nissan Altima for a test drive, if you can believe it, but as much as I enjoyed driving it I just didn't want to make the huge payment that came with it.

Saturday, after an exhausting day of looking at every car dealership with vehicles in our price range, we were looking for a more affordable Nissan when I spotted this baby out of the corner of my eye.

I was in heaven.

"So what's with the Jane Doe", you ask? Well, she's got a navigation system that talks to us in a nice, calm voice. The voice needs a name. The boy's gave me their thoughts last night: Ann, Laura, Jane (that's the ADT lady's name), but none of them quite fit.

This is where you come in. If you have a suggestion for a name for the "Voice", please leave a comment with both your suggested name for the navigation lady and your name. Leave as many suggestions as you want..there's a $10 Dunkin' Donuts gift card waiting for the winner!

I am going to pick Lola!

She had to be a showgirl to get you to turn your head the way you did at the car lot...lol

How about Skye......

I think it's a name that evokes power, independance, being in charge (like a Charger and NAV system)...it can be feminine yet not too feminie that your boys would be embarrased to say the name...also with your Photography and life in general...."The Sky is the limit"...
I like the spelling with an E at the end though...

L.S. III say "Tammy". Coyne wants an audio sample before she'll guess. The Husband is going with "HAL-Y" for all you Sci Fi fans.

I so want this car too. I'm hopefully getting a new car in the Fall and the Charger in that VERY color is what I want. **so jealous**

No Dunkin' Donuts either, only Krispy Kreme.

How about Pixie, since you love pictures?

hmmm you weren't able to get them to give you a manly voice? I won't even try to come up with one. LOLA gets my vote.

I just test drove a NITRO yesterday, it was VERY nice.

in '05 I went from a 4dr RAM to a magnum. While I LOVE my hemi, I sure do miss the ground clearance of a truck. I hope you don't end up missing it too.

Are you getting vanity plates with her name? Tammy photoartist

Wow, 22 comments as I post this.

I know how much your love your Dunkin' Donuts coffee and giving a gift card as a gift, wow. I think the name has to flow with you and where this baby will end up taking you so many times "Dunkin' Donuts"

So I think DeeDee (D D) would fit as you know how you like your DD Coffee.

OK Lisa - I have one more. Now that I realize it's the voice you're looking to name. What about "Mirage", she is the blonde in "The Incredibles" with the sultry voice that lures Mr. Incredible to Syndrome's lair then ultimately helps to save him.

I say Kitty or Kitiana...now this it just going off on a tangent from the olden days of Night Rider! He has KITT. Now you can have KITTY! Just need to work the acronym out... ;)

I thought I saw a new vehicle in your driveway as I was headed into work this morning! Nice ride, very sharpe. Cool color too! Thanks for the number updates. I should stop over to check out the new fence and your new toy too. So, I can't remember my login name or password to you blog, and I would like to submit the name "Lenore" as new your navigational mistress...
